Lot’s of exciting things in the works. Projects are getting more interesting, weather is getting toasty, and we’re breaking out the tank tops in the shop as we get a good sweat going. </p> <p>Here are some shirts we did recently that are actually a reprint but with a different color scheme. The colors turned out beautifully as the bright sea foamy green and the deep burnt red created a great contrast on the heather brown. Paying hospital bills can be a very heavy burden so we wanted to help alleviate that weight a little bit by doing what we do best. It’s great to see so much Indianapolis pride going around and it is fun to provide the printing for many businesses that are trying to proclaim that warm sentiment on the streets with patriotic apparel. This design for White River State Park was simply intended to represent the city in an honest and straight-forward way. The design was inspired, therefore, by its nickname “the circle city” and thats that!</p> <p>We think they turned out quite well, but don’t take our word for it… Go check them out yourself at WRSP’s welcome center. The less we are given to work with, the more we’ll return. We like shirts that are simple and easy to wear. They don’t need to say much or be overly complicated. Thats why when this little team “Gnome More Breast Cancer” came to us asking for help designing a fun shirt for this Race for the Cure they were taking part in, we were excited to jump on board.</p> <p>We’ve been improving the use of color overlaps with water-based inks on our own projects at Vardagen, but haven’t applied this on client projects very frequently. However, we felt like this was the perfect occasion to implement it, as it gives more color at less cost which is pretty ideal when you’re getting shirts for a cause. So, as you can see, the blue and pink colors made that nice, soft purple for the shadows and gave the print a lot more depth than would have been there otherwise. I expect we’ll start getting bolder and more creative with these color interactions with time.
